3. Phentermine: Phentermine is another example of a drug that assists in losing excess weight. This is a powerful yet effective medication used by those who have tried other methods of losing weight but have failed. It also acts as an appetite suppressant. The various side effects of using phentermine include diarrhea, constipation and also the individual may find difficulty in sleeping. It can also lead to withdrawal like symptoms. The drug is available only at the prescription of the concerned doctors.
